What is SFO?

SFO (skolefritidsordning) is the before & after school care program for students in grades 1-4 and for students with special needs in grades 5-7. It is run by Trondheim International School and is governed by national and municipal by-laws.

Our program emphasises that children are given agency – voice, choice and ownership – regarding their free time, culture and leisure activities based on their age and interest. We run a varied and engaging programme of activities to facilitate this. We strive to create good relationships, social skills, learning through play, activities and good conversations. Child safety is a priority. Our before & after school program provides adult supervision where children experience SFO as a fun and safe place to be.
