Teacher and assistant positions School Year 2017/2018
ThIS offers up to 400% substitute (vikariat) and permanent (fast) teaching positions in the Primary Years Program (1st to 6th grade) and the Middle Years Program (7th to 10th grade). The responsibility as a contact teacher might follow the positions. We also offer an assistant position in SFO/School. All positions are from 01.08.2017. Temporary positions are until 31.07.2018.
Pedagogy: Special Needs Advisor (Spesialpedagogisk rådgiver) 100%
The Special Needs Advisor has the responsibility for the school’s structure and work around special needs pedagogy. The Advisor works in a team with 1 coordinator for the Primary Years Program (barneskole) and 1 coordinator for the Middle Years Program (ungdomsskole). The position includes as of now 50% administrative tasks as a Special Needs Advisor. The remaining 50% consists of teaching. The school follows the Special Needs Handbook (Spesialpedagogisk Håndbok) of Trondheim Kommune, regarding procedures and guidelines for special needs students. Knowledge of procedures in Trondheim Kommune / special needs in Norway is required.
Barneskole/Primary Years Program: IB Classroom Teacher (Klasselærer)
Classroom teacher, all subjects taught in English.
Ungdomsskole/Middle Years Program: IB Humanities (Samfunnsfag / KRLE)
Humanities teacher 7-10th grade, taught in English.
Ungdomsskole/Middle Years Program: IB English (Engelsk)
English teacher 7-10th grade.
Ungdomsskole/Middle Years Program: IB Spanish and/or French (Spansk og/eller Fransk)
Spanish and/or French teacher 8-10th grade.
School Librarian 50% (Bibliotekar)
School librarian position from 1st-10th grade. The librarian’s role supports the IB program.
Personal assistant and School/SFO assistant(s) for before-/after school program / Holiday Clubs.

Qualifications for teaching positions
- Approved education (barneskole- og/eller ungdomsskolelær).
- If you are educated outside of Norway, applicants need to provide certified documents from NOKUT (http://www.nokut.no/en/) and Udir (https://www.udir.no/) (teaching positions).
- International work experience is encouraged, but not required (all positions).
- Current police record check (politiattest) must be provided if offered a position (all positions).
- Knowledge about the IB programs is preferred, but not required (all positions).
- Language fluency in English (written and spoken) required (all positions).
- Language fluency in Norwegian desired (all positions).
