What is a Dugnad?

Dugnad is a Norwegian term for voluntary work done together with other people. In a tradition similar to that of barn raising, parents work together to help a school, community members meet to help an individual or club members meet to build a clubhouse or get necessary jobs done for a family in need.

THIS is a great school for many reasons and one of the reasons is our sense of community and the support we offer each other. There are times when we want to help, are able to help, but don’t know how we can.

This page will make helping THIS easier by showing you where we could use some help. This could mean helping out with some painting in the hallways or laying a new floor in the lunchroom – who knows!? As soon as we know, we’ll let you know! So, stay tuned!

The date has been set for Spring Dugnad 2019!
